Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know.

Is The Quiet Bread Studio a baking school?
Not exactly. Baking is the practice, not the subject. The studio uses bread-making as a way to slow down, pay attention, and reconnect with yourself.
Do I need to know how to bake?
No. You don't need any experience with sourdough or bread-making to find value here.
Is this therapy or replace it?
No. The practices here are reflective and grounding, but this is not therapy and is not a substitute for professional mental health support.
Is this a mindfulness app or meditation program?
Neither. It's something quieter than that. The studio weaves mindful practice into the rhythm of making bread, rather than asking you to sit still and focus.
Who is The Quiet Bread Studio for?
Anyone who wants to slow down and move through life with more intention. You don't need to be a baker, a meditator, or have any particular background.
Do I need special equipment?
An oven and a Dutch oven or oven-safe pot with a lid. Everything else can be improvised with what you likely already have at home.
Where does the studio exist?
Online. Everything is self-paced and accessible from wherever you are.
How is this different from a regular baking course?
The focus is on the process, not the result. You won't be graded on your loaf.
How long do I have access?
Once you're in, you have lifetime access for as long as the studio exists online. Come back whenever you need to.
